Electrify Strata
Electrify Strata - unlock shared value and benefits
One in six Australians—over four million people—live in strata-titled properties, with more than three million strata lots nationwide. Strata living is the fastest-growing housing type in Australia. Historically, these properties have not benefited from government incentives for energy efficiency and electrification retrofits, due to complex regulations, governance, and ownership structures. However, recent government initiatives are now providing greater support for strata residents and owners to improve energy performance in both common and private areas.
Retrofitting strata buildings for energy efficiency, electrification of gas appliances, renewable energy integration, and EV charging presents unique governance, technical, and financial challenges. Despite the complexities, there is strong evidence showing property value uplift, increased rentability, utility bill savings and short payback periods on invested capital.
Electrification Hub offers a streamlined assessment and consultation service, delivering essential information and resources to help owners navigate these complexities and achieve the benefits of improved energy efficiency and electrification.
Our Electrify Strata service is delivered by experienced building energy efficiency assessors in collaboration with trades specialists, ensuring deep technical expertise in building systems and retrofit opportunities. The resulting consultation report provides a clear baseline and roadmap for your building’s energy efficiency and electrification journey, empowering owners to procure services that deliver meaningful outcomes.
